The Faculty of Law and Public Affairs (FLPA) strives to deliver quality of legal education that is attainable by, and responsive to the needs of the people of Cambodia and the global community. We place special emphasis on research and studies in law, social justice, and policy.

As a school of law, our mission is to produce a wide range of human resources for the 21st century through the curriculum grounded in the principles of multidisciplinarism, internationalism, and pioneerism. LPA has an established and internationally recognized reputation for excellence in teaching law in English. LPA’s faculty members care about their teaching and see students as a priority. FLPA welcomes students of all backgrounds.

The Faculty provides a unique opportunity for high quality legal education. Rather than just telling people how we are doing things differently and better, this institution is committed to making it obvious that we are student-centred and devoted to preparing students to enter into professions.

PUC- FLPA is currently offering a wide range of the following law programs:

1. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM (LL.B)
This program aims to provide general education and basic legal knowledge.

2. GRADUATE PROGRAMS (LL.M)
This program aims to provide advanced legal education and researches on legal studies. The current graduate programs are composed of four specializations of legal fields as follows:

Master of International Business Laws
Master of Human Rights Laws
Master of Intellectual Property Laws

3. DOCTORAL LAW PROGRAM (LL.D)
This program aims to provide advanced researches on legal studies.

Majors & Program

FALH offers programs of study leading to the undergraduate degrees of Associate of Arts (A.A., 60 credits), Bachelor of Arts (B.A., 129 credits), and the graduate degrees of Master of Arts (M.A., 45 credits) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD, 57 credits).

Undergraduate programs provide general knowledge, skills and knowledge in the major field of study, and the 21st Century skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity demanded by employers. The A.A. degree is designed for students who have graduated from high school and wish to focus on practical, employment skills. Students who complete the A.A. may apply the 60 credits towards the B.A. degree. Students who have graduated from high school and passed the National Exam, or equivalent, may enter the B.A. program directly from high school.

Master’s students should possess a bachelor’s degree and excellent academic reading and writing skills. Graduates will possess superior analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and be well-prepared to advance in their careers. The PhD is a rigorous academic program, requiring a relevant master’s degree to enter. Graduates will have expertise in their area of specialization and be capable of independent research and building the capacity of others.

Student Research

Students are warmly welcome to apply to be employed in the PIARD Data Analysis Lab. To qualify, undergraduates must be enrolled, have completed some coursework in basic social statistics and methods, have high grade points and be recommended by advisors or professors. Graduate students may qualify by being enrolled in a PUC master’s or doctorate program, have superior preparation by coursework and experience, and be recommended by advisors or professors. All applicants must show evidence of capability to master professional procedures of scientific interviewing and have good communication skills. Studies conducted by PIARD cover many of the most exciting and relevant topics of contemporary life including culture, public health, education, environment and natural resources, and technology. Some of the benefits of being employed by PIARD are:
